SMS & Consent Policy

Helios is valet parking management software, provided by NomadLab Studios, used by valet operators at hotels, restaurants, car dealerships, and similar venues. As part of the service, Helios sends transactional SMS notifications to customers about the status of their own vehicle. This page explains what we send, how customers consent, and how they can opt out.
What Helios does
Helios helps valet teams check in vehicles, issue digital tickets, collect payments, and keep customers informed. When a customer drops off their vehicle with a participating valet operator, Helios can send them text updates about that vehicle on the operator's behalf.
Types of messages we send
Messages are strictly transactional and related to the customer's own vehicle. We do not send marketing or promotional messages. Message types include:
- Vehicle check-in confirmation
- Vehicle ready-for-pickup notification
- A secure payment link to complete the valet transaction
- Payment confirmation / receipt
How customers consent (opt-in)
Consent is collected in person at the point of service. Before entering a customer's phone number into Helios, the valet attendant informs the customer that they will receive text messages about their vehicle. A number is only added after the customer agrees. The attendant uses the following verbal consent script:
“By providing your phone number, you agree to receive text messages from [valet operator], powered by Helios Valet, with updates about your vehicle. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe at any time.”
Sender identification
Every message clearly identifies the valet operator and notes that it is powered by Helios Valet, so customers always know who is texting them. For example:
The Grand Hotel (powered by Helios Valet): Ticket #128 — your Toyota Camry is ready. Reply STOP to opt out.
Message frequency
Messaging is limited to a customer's active valet visit — typically two to four messages per visit (check-in, ready, payment, and receipt). We do not send recurring or scheduled marketing messages.
Opting out and getting help
Customers can reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe immediately and automatically, and reply HELP for assistance. Message and data rates may apply.
Privacy
Phone numbers are used solely to send service updates about the customer's vehicle. We never sell or share phone numbers for marketing. For more detail, see our Privacy Policy.
